How do you deal with the annoying cell phone user in your spa?

1. Do you have a basket at the door for all visitors to your spa allowing them to dump their cell in there waiting for their exit before they can get their sticky paws on them again?

2. Or, do you have nicely plastered images all over your spa warning people to silence their cell when entering the spa?

3. Do you have an invisible beam across the door way that zaps their shins when they pass the area with a cell phone that is not silenced?…

I feel bad for the young people of today who might have never recieved any mentoring about how to behave socially.  You know the how to live ‘life in general’ how to behave ‘publicly’ or how to read ‘body language’…it seems that more and more young people are fending for themselves and only communicating through texts, Facebook etc.   All of these tools are great to use and I for one use them.  But, I am proud to say that I had a foundation built on how to treat people, what not to say and to treat people like I would like to be treated before being plunged into the technology world.…

Do you lead by constantly wanting to be in control of each and every situation that comes up and don’t listen to your staff as you think you always know better?”

In my 10 or so years of being in the beauty industry, I have, as you can imagine come across some great leaders who knew how to balance their private life with their leadership business role and I have also come across some Spazilla’s who in some perverted, twisted way got satisfaction from knowing that their staff are afraid of them.…

After working in the U.S now for just a little over 10 years as an Esthetician and Nail Technician, I am still bewildered as to the reasoning behind why there is such a lack of further education classes in this industry. Don’t get me wrong, there are some amazing educators our there that do offer Brazilian wax classes on male and female body parts…but quite honestly, we are pretty hard pushed to find an abundance of educators. I comment on this in my blog, not because i think one country is better than any other or because I have found it difficult to find further education classes…but because so many of you have shared with me the very same frustrations!…
